Hi, I started this blog in Oct 2009 with the intention of providing a record of this time of transition, both planetary and personally. I like to think of it as a scrapbook of cuttings from various sources that felt significant or interesting to me at the time I read them, and which can also serve as a resource of information, both for those who are newly awakening and also those who may have been aware of this transition called ascension for some time.
Although I do not particularly like the word 'ascension' I have continued to use it as it is the most widely used term these days to describe the transition of earth and humanity from the third dimension to higher consciousness and living in more light. It has nothing to do with any organised religion. The term 'new consciousness' or 'new energy' is sometimes used interchangeably, yet it has nothing to do with what has become known as the 'new age' movement which may also use those terms.
My blog is a varied mix of information, articles, videos, book reviews, personal ramblings and more. I realise how confusing and daunting it must be with the plethora of information that is now available on ascension after all these years, to know where to start for someone who is totally new to this subject. I don't pretend to have any answers or any more access to my inner guidance/spirit than the next person. I've just been on this particular path for a long time and my suggestions are merely 'go check this out' there's something here that resonates with me, maybe it will for you too. And whatever resonated with me at the time may not necessarily be my 'truth' or inner knowing a few years down the line as a bigger picture often emerges. This subject of ascension is however my passion, and it tends to override other earthly passions and preoccupations.
I have not made any attempt to explain anything to newbies as their own inner guidance will lead them to whatever it is they need to know, although I can understand if they feel that much that is written here is a bit way out there.
I am going to re-do all my blog labels/categories when I get a moment to do so, but there is no linear progression so just dive in anywhere.
However, the main reason I set up this blog was to make accessible these materials in other languages via the online translator (found on the top right margin of the home page) so that non-English speakers could make use of some of the information that was coming out. This is why I often add some text notes under videos.
Some people have attempted to translate whole websites on ascension in other languages from the English ones I recommend, and I have started a list of those here (although I cannot say much about them as I don't speak the language).
Also, the Awakening Zone internet radio (which launched 1st Jan 2011) is adding shows all the time in other languages, broadcast on the internet from around the world. It is free, and is worth looking in the archives as there may be a show in your language.

My understanding of the word 'ascension' is the transition of the Earth and humanity from the third dimensional linear reality to a higher consciousness reality not based on linear time. It is experiential, rather than just a mental belief system or religion, and it does not necessarily mean having to leave the body (although others may choose to do so). It involves embodying more of our divinity or light/source energy or I AM presence while still living in our physical bodies on Earth. It also includes claiming our own freedom and sovereignty (from the mass consciousness, collective hypnosis, the matrix) and not giving our power away to gurus, saviours, aliens or anything outside of ourselves. We have everything we need within. There is no date given for ascension as Light works in the now moment, it is just due soon as it happens every approximately 2000 years. Ascension is an individual process as nobody can ascend for anyone else, and involves clearing out all of our emotional baggage and judgements, and staying heart centred rather than mind centred so that we can raise our own frequency and stay in the light.
There is nothing complicated about it, no special processes to learn, and when I first embarked upon this ascension journey I merely stated out loud my intention to ascend, and that was it. But do be aware that your life will start to change, and even though it can feel challenging at times, there is no way I could go back to my old life now. Actually, it is not even possible to go back.
New Consciousness is a term used to describe a new way of being, perceiving, and living which is unlike the old third dimensional way we used to think and live in before our awakening. Consciousness is awareness, which is not limited to the logical mind or the intellect, it goes beyond it. Which is why the sub-title of this blog is 'explorations beyond the mind'.
